Is it possible to rip the audio track to a windows media player file and save it as an mp3? There is a great piece of music (unavailiable anywhere else) backing a movie, but I'd rather hae it as an mp3 than open up the whole movie file to listen to it.
It was a custom track for the file itself, not a 3rd party song. Is there a way? Quick question really.
I think you'll have to resort to recording the sound while the movie is playing. Last time I checked there was an option in Audacity that let you select "stereo mix" as the source. Some sound card drivers also come with that option in the mixer, somewhere around the microphone volume.

Is there a public link to the video you're talking about?
This is just a guess, though.
