Quicklink Mobile locks up XP- Free Hat Inside

So I recently got a Blackberry Curve and with it the little dongle so I can have wireless internet most anywhere. The program I use to connect to the internet is QuickLink Mobile. Unfortunately after a little while of use my computer will freeze and I am forced to restart it. The amount of time before it locks up ranges from just a few minutes to little over an hour.

At the moment I cannot figure out how to get it to work correctly. I have Windows XP and Service Pack 3. QuickLink Mobile is fully updated as well.

I can play games, work on Word, and basically do anything else all day long, but once I connect to the internet its only a matter of time before the computer freezes on me.

After a little experimenting it seems that QuickLink Mobile is not to blame. I set up my connection manually and with the Desktop Manager on I can connect to the internet. Problem is I still get the same problem. I think perhaps my phone is to blame, but I cannot imagine why or even how to troubleshoot that.
