Summer Blues

Hey all,

Each summer off from school, I tend to find myself trying to fight off a bit of the blues. I really enjoy being at college, and when I don't have the workload and social life that university provides, I'm usually pretty flat-out bored. This summer I'm actually staying up at school and working full-time. I'm living with two roommates which helps things, but after July I'll be on my own until classes start at the end of August.

I love the job, but town is basically dead when school's not in session and it's not helping keep away the blues that comes for me with each summer. Does anybody have any tips on keeping busy? I don't yet have my car up here so that kind of puts a damper on road trips, which I'd basically be doing every weekend if I had some wheels.

Thanks for any help!

    Blast lots of loud rock.

    Rock out.

Well work is a good start. I dunno, explore the town on foot? Meet other people at work and latch onto them?

I'm sorry, but according to recent studies, including appealing to my congressman, it turns out that there ain't no cure for the summertime blues.

i just picked up juggling out of boredom, and everyone around here also seems to have picked up the bug... There are some descent studying videos on youtube (lots of crap ones.. look for one that actually has audio, so you can practice in the meanwhile).

    also Raiden: brilliant!

Dude, I am somewhat in your boat, I am taking a few informal classes, Kendo, Ballroom Dance, and Drawing 1.

So I recommend that, its a great way to fill time and you have these awesome new skills at the end of it!
