I'm looking to learn German, but was a little overwhelmed with the book selection at Barnes and Noble. Does anyone know of a particularly good series? I've been trying Rosetta Stone, and while it's certainly not bad, I'd like to suppliment it with something more along the lines of a textbook.

Also, I seem to recall some people recommending podcasts, but I'm not exactly sure on where to get them. Are there any other good online sources I should be checking out?

I was taught on the book Deutsch Zusammen. I still have it from University, and it's a book accompanied by an exercise book. It could probably be found through a used book or textbook store.
