Hopefully this is just quick and easily solved.

I'm pretty new to Access and am trying to create a series of forms. I drew a few in design view because that's what the assignment requires. But when I switch to layout view the boxes containing the title, the date etc overlap eachother, or stretch right across the screen. Then, another one which I created from layout view, the boxes are all squashed in design view, squashed in print preview, but fine in layout view.

Is it possible for the form to look the same across the views? For this assignment at least I think I need to have it look correct in print preview and Form view.

Thanks!

Are you talking about reports, which the user pretty much just opens up then prints out, or forms, which the user actually interacts with and rarely prints?

Also, some screenshots would go a long way in troubleshooting your problem.

You can manually click each box and drag it around where you want it and re-size it with by clicking and dragging the corners in design view. You can also click the box and re-size it by adjusting the properties in the properties box on the right of the screen. This can be done for either design or layout view.

Edit: yes it is possible for them to look the same.
