I just purchased a PS3 60G new in box, still sealed. It may (or may not be) from the original production of the 60Gs, with the Talledega Nights sticker on it.
Question: Do I keep it? Or Sell it?
I want a PS3, and I only paid 350 for this one. The seller got it free from a retailer in exchange for doing some demo work. Basically got a bunch of swag and he sold it to me. I don't care a TON about BC, as I play mostly sports games, but I do like the idea of keeping my PS2 games while I transition over to the PS3. That being said, if I could sell it for a nice profit, I could buy a few new games with it, accessories, etc.
What do you think? And if I sell it, what do you think its worth? Sell it on Ebay? Craigslist?

A quick look on ebay shows original 60 gigs aren't going for much more than 350, and most are going for less. New 80 gigs are still $399. I'd say stick with the 60 gig and if you end up wanting more storage, buy a bigger hard drive and replace it.
If you want a PS3, keep it. The 60Gb was the best model.
You may say you don't want BC, but it is worth it. Old PS2 games can be found for $10, look great when upscaled, and many still have no corresponding PS3 title. I've been playing through Shadow of the Colossus, Beyond Good & Evil, and The Warriors lately and at no point have wished I could pay $20-$30 more for HD graphics. The games are solid.
Plus, new games are still being released as PS2 only. I don't know if you're a fan of fighters, but the latest Samurai Shodown compilation couldn't be had on the PS3.
But if times are tight and you'd rather have a Wii or 360, well, there's your decision.
On the upside, you have the best model, and got it cheaper than the current models. Downsides that add to the cost are the purchase of a DualShock 3, as that came with a Sixaxis. If you don't care about rumble, that's cool too. BC is great, if you are positive you aren't ever going to play PS2 games on it, then consider selling it. You mentioned you already had PS2 games, so by keeping it you can sell off the PS2.
If you have PS2 controllers, there are very cheap converters online that can allow you to use them on the PS3, look into that.
I would probably just keep it. The option of BC is always nice to have, it has extra USB ports, and all the card slots. Selling it could be a hassle. Sell your PS2 and use the cash to pick up a DualShock 3. Get an HDMI cable from monoprice.

Do you want to have a current gen console or not?
If yes keep it
If no sell it
I still want the PS3, I guess I'm wondering if I should keep the 60G, or sell it, buy a new 80G and some games?
