Wierd issue with my right speaker

So, I've had these Logitech speakers for my computer a little over a year now, and they haven't given me any trouble until yesterday evening. The trouble is my right speaker intermittently makes this really godawful buzzing noise, and dear god, is it ever annoying, especially when trying to listen to music. Now the wierd part is that even when the computer's off it still makes the same buzzing noise, making it a nuisance even when I'm off my computer.

I haven't tried a whole lot to remedy the issue, but I've moved some wires here and there, fooled around with the control panel for a bit, and did some other pointless things, nothing's worked so far.

Anyone have a clue as to what the hell is going on with my right speaker?

Probably interference of some sort, is there a wireless router or a cordless phone nearby? Do you routinely leave you cell phone in that vicinity? My blackberry pearl would totally fuck with my speakers whenever I had an incoming message or phone call, it was actually kinda handy.

Do not feel trapped by the need to achieve anything, this way you achieve everything.

Oh, hey I'm making a game! Check it out: Dr. Weirdo!

Yeah, cell phones wreak havoc on poorly shielded cables. "Intermittent godawful buzzing noise" sounds exactly like what my wife's speakers do when her phone is near them.

It is radio interference. Either you have a cell phone or radio or some such near it or someone is broadcasting near you. Does your neighbor do ham radio or do you live by a radio station?

you could build a faraday cage to shield it for fun. Or get better speakers.

and I wonder about my neighbors even though I don't have them
but they're listening to every word I say

Yeah, it seems that there probably was interference of some sort. As soon as I moved the sound system to another part of the house the intermittent buzzing ceased.

    Thanks for helping me out.
