My father bought a new WRT160N because our WRT54G was crapping out on us. The connection is fast and great on my PC, but I was using an old WGA54G for my Xbox Live connection, which doesn't seem to be compatible with the new setup.
So what are some cheap gaming routers that recognize 802.11n? I did some cursory searches in Amazon and the prices frightened me. Are there any alternatives that don't have three digits attached to them?
Just make sure the NAT connection cache is big enough, my old Router could only hold like 512 entries in the NAT table, so everytime I did a server scan in CS:S, ETQW, Battlefield 1942 etc., the whole connection would freeze to the point where I had to reboot the router.
I believe with modern routers this should not be a huge issue anymore, but you never know.

Seems to be solid
I noticed a large improvement of performance when I did.
And all the extra options made my little Linksys a full-fledged router!
