What do you mean? I had butt loads of options. Both in terms of people to hang out with, though I had a lot more acquaintances than friends, and clubs/stuff to get involved with. I mean, 30 people? If you don't click with a few guys you just pissed off 10% of your class.

Yeah. It's pretty nice to have missed out on this whole popular thing other schools had. Ain't no teenager convincing two thousand people they should be elevated above them by more than a couple hundred.

Meh, I enjoy getting lost in crowds. Hell, my dream is to live in the middle of a city with 10m people in the metro area. And only idiots or jackasses got into fights.

Wut? I was great friends with the people I did know and we had a blast. We didn't need to know everyone else in our school to have fun.
Also what moniker said about fights. Even the gangs went to the church down the street. We had maybe one fight a year in our school, always on the first day, always between two freshmen.

in practice yeah you know everyone, but if you don't get on particularly well with many of them your day-to-day, in-school relationships are pretty limited
which when you don't have a car and live in a small town, amounts to all of them

Yeah, I wasn't going to get voted Prom Queen, but I was on good terms with pretty much everyone I knew. Plus there weren't those idiotic cliques you see in 80's movies since I knew people from everywhere thanks to one class or another.

I think there would be pros and cons to having a small number of people in your school
I hate how they don't put it on Hulu, so my DVRless self can't catch the show anymore.
