    How it currently works:

Part 1: Horde defends. Alliance has ten minutes to get the relic.
Part 2: Alliance defends. Horde has x minutes to get the relic, where x is the amount of time it took Alliance to capture the relic in Part 1. If alliance failed to capture the relic, then x is 10.

You must win parts 1 and 2 for it to count as a win. If both sides win one part, the game is a draw. Because Blizzard is silly, a draw is pretty much the same thing as a loss. One mark and no real bonus honor.

This will change in 3.2 when Part 1 randomly determines the defender.

You know, that's what I thought. But I was watching the timers, and it definitely didn't work that way.

This only happened in one game though. Could have very well been a bug.

I recall a few days ago (maybe?) someone was saying that there is some changes to macros in 3.2 along the lines that you won't be able to use ability macroes that basically go through some priority, or something

i can't find anything on this, though, so if there's anyone that knows about macro changes in 3.2 i'd appreciate it

edit: Though in fairness, that's like how it's with most of my characters.

I remember seeing a video on youtube of a 40 man alliance raid on TB. They all piled on 1 elevator and when they got to the top an elemental shaman thunderstormed all of them off of TB.

    LINK. NOW!!!

    please

I've done that to quite a few alliance raids on my server; a real rush I can tell you. First time I did it, I died not long after, because against a raid of that size, you normally end up with a few resists at which point the 4 or 5 rather stunned looking alliance turn around and kill you.

In fact, I've done that against the same raid twice, at which point alliance gave up.

One time though, after knocking a large raid of alliance off the lift, a boomkin that had resisted my thunderstorm, turned around and typhooned me off.

    Touche good sir, touche.

The generic honor shoulder enchant works, though it's inactive until your character reaches level 70.

Does anyone here know of a link to download the like 1.16GB PTR file for mac? its the 0.0.1.8874 → 0.2.0.10026 update file. I can find the british version but not the US version, and my ISP blocks all bittorrent connections/data so I can't download it from blizzard. I've checked WoWwiki, google, and everywhere else I can think of but I can't find that file.

I don't think blocking bittorrent is legal. The FCC ordered Comcast to stop doing it for example. You should call them up and complain mightily.

Its a local ISP who their tech support doesnt even knwo what bittorrent is and the owner said he really didn't give a shit. so yea.

And they are just a middleman. I cant get regular DSL out here so basically they buy internet from Sprint I think and then they use a wireless tower and receivers in their customers yards to give them internet. its like $50 a month for 60KBps(512kbps) or $100 a month for around 120KBps or a 1Mb connection.

Complain until their ears fall off, let them know it's illegal, and threaten to tell everyone you can think of. If you call a local paper and let them know the ISP is illegally blocking something used for totally legal purposes they'll almost definitely fix it.

It's also faster if the person who received the item is online:
Two of us got stuff ML'd to our alts on a BT run the other day, I don't really log into that char much so it took about a week to get it fixed. The other guy was playing that day and it was taken care of in like an hour. You basically have to be online at some point so the first GM can verify who's getting what and then escalate it.

My ISP doesn't block bittorrent but it throttles it down to about 1kb/s. It means I can rarely play on patch day because I have to wait for a mirror to host the Mac patch which they're pokey about doing usually.

Blocking BT (or anything else for that matter) is entirely legal. The whole thing about "Net Neutrality" that was a bit of a deal a while back was supposed to fix that, among other things. ISPs are allowed very broad leeway in what they can do in the pursuit of "quality of service". They also do *not* have common carrier status like the telephones do as far as I know. The whole thing is still very much a legal mess however.

It sucks when you're in the situation I suspect 75% of the US is, where you have pretty much only one or at most two options for ISPs that aren't dial-up.

Are they throttling torrent traffic based on the port? That's easy to counter; just change the port. You can also encrypt torrent traffic (outbound data, at the least) with a good client.

Swift Flight Form: Druids who have acquired a mount able to go 310% flight speed will now also go that speed while in this form.

Now will they do this for flying mounts? (If you have one 310% mount, all 280% mounts become 310%)
