Complete Upcoming Wii release list (First & Third Party)
If anyone can get their hands on the DS equivalent of this that'd be awesome.
Here's what I'm looking forward to:
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
Spyborgs
Monster Hunter Tri
Astro Boy: The Video Game
Cursed Mountain
Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince
Need for Speed NITRO
Dead Space Extraction
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes
A Boy and His Blob
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Wii Sports Resort
Sin and Punishment 2
Metroid: Other M
Super Mario Galaxy 2
The Conduit
Let's TAP
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up
Rabbids Go Home
Red Steel 2
No More Heroes 2
Ju-On: The Grudge
Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
And on Wiiware:
BIT.TRIP CORE
Uno
Cave Story
Super Meat Boy
That's 27 titles. (That I'm looking out for, not necessarily definite buys of course.)
I can't think of a game I care about less than Little King's Story.
Shiren the Wanderer
Monster Hunter Tri
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Endless Ocean 2
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love
Virtua Tennis 2009 (with Motion Plus)
Uno
Cave Story
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Not all of these may be this year, but that's already certainly stronger than 2008.
Also I'm curious what will be done to Resident Evil and Zero on the Wii to differentiate them from the GC versions.
No must buys for me 2009 (just several rentals), 2010 looks a lot better with Metroid, Galaxy 2, NMH2 and S&P2. Sakura Taisen 5 I will get on PS2 because I still haven't sorted out a HD loader for my Wii.
The Conduit
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Tales of Monkey Island
Muramasa: Demon Blade
Cave Story
No More Heroes 2
Red Steel 2 (going to wait to see how that turns out before deciding to buy)
Metroid: The Other M
Super Mario Galaxy 2
New Super Mario Brothers Wii
I just have to earn more cash and find more free time and I'll have no worries about getting them when they come.
No More Heroes 2
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid: The Other M
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
NMH2 and SMG2 were day one already just based on the originals. Metroid M had a fantastic trailer at E3. Also i was ready to write off SH:SM, but the walkthrough videos from E3 are really impressive. It looks a lot better than homecoming.
Red Steel 2 may win me over. I've played the original at a friends house, and really didn't take to it. But 2 seems to be a sequel almost in name only.
What the fuck is it with kart games this year? Madagascar? My Sims? o_O
Anyway, I can't honestly say I'm looking too forward to next year. Sure there's No More Heroes 2 and the usual Nintendo smattering, and the walkthrough for Silent Hill Shattered Memories has me hyped, but the majority of the rest's lookin' like shovelware and licensing and all the usual trype.
Also, Bandai-Namco doing a Food Network game: oddball title of the year, bar none. o_O
I've got Conduit pre-ordered. I expect to be underwhelmed by the graphical art style and story but it'll be the console shooter to beat in terms of controls.
Looking forward to Metroid Prime Trilogy, Mario Galaxy 2 and Silent Hill, and I expect the Monkey Island remake on WiiWare. They've got their episodic series, but they need the original to hammer it down.

These next two years are going to be pretty awesome for the Wii.
In fact, in just a couple of months Metroid Prime Trilogy will be mine. I want to play through the games again so badly with Wii controls.
Oooooh yeah, forgot about Let's Tap. It looks cool, but there's been an odd radio silence on that game that's a little disturbing.

Hm, I'm not sure if I'm pleased or disappointed with this list.
I got 4 definite buys (Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Galaxy 2, FFCC Crystal Bearers, Little King's Story), and 3 "I dunno"s (Fragile, NSMB Wii, No More Heroes 2).
I'm surprised to not see My Life as a Darklord on the Wiiware list. I guess that isn't coming any time soon?
Man, I wish I had money to spend. I've been on severe lockdown this year, so the short list of things I might buy are Wii Sports Resort, Galaxy 2 and Tales of Monkey Island. I'm waiting to see/hear more on Metroid: Other M and New SMB Wii, but those might be buys as well.
Other stuff I'm interested in but probably won't buy just due to budgeting (though they'll make my gift lists):
- Little King Story
- Dead Space Extraction
- RE: Darkside Chronicles
- Grand Slam Tennis
- FFCC: Crystal Bearers
What the fuck is it with kart games this year? Madagascar? My Sims? o_O
You know what the really sad thing is? I'm actually kinda interested in MySims Agents. A quasi-adventure game where you play a MySim in Black sounds like it could be fun.
Argh, looking at more muramasa vids, and it seems that this will definitely sell me a Wii.
Also, can someone tell me about little king's story? Been interested in it for awhile now.
Imagine the gameplay of Pikmin plus the world and bosses of Zelda plus the atmosphere of Harvest Moon with a copious amount of charm and a fair bit of LSD.
It feels like a Nintendo release, in the ridiculously polished way.
Amazing game.
I'm surprised no one's mentioned Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings... Honestly it looks to be one of the better Jones games, not to mention The Fate of Atlantis is unlockable in it...

Supposed to have some pretty good waggle controls... Out now...
Oh, it's out now? I'll have to look at that.
A lot of people wanted it just for Fate of Atlantis but that alone isn't even going to be enough for many...it's sort of a shame because in the last few previews it does look like a good game in its own right.

Was Endless Ocean good? It looked interesting just sorta...pointless.
Also why the hell is it $99.99 new on Amazon?
Origin: Galedrid - Nintendo: Galedrid/3222-6858-1045
Blizzard: Galedrid#1367 - FFXIV: Galedrid Kingshand
As for the price, no clue. I got it for $30 new at Wal-Mart.
From what I hear pretty much nothing besides 480p support. They're pretty much the same as the Japanese releases.
Just a port, as I recall.
Your loss.
It's concievably the best game of the last couple of years.
Tatsunoko Vs Capcom

And a bunch of the Wiiware looks good too. It's a good thing that my Must Buys are pretty well spread out in terms of release date.
Port/Remake for Wii.
Presumably new content.

Plus all those resident evil games.
Every month Mario Kart Wii is in the 10 ten best selling games in the US. Occasionally Mario Kart DS shows up years after it launched.
(Please do not gift. My game bank is already full.)
In fact I don't see Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings either. WTF.
