Travelling to Japan - A/H1N1 problems

Hey guys. I am traveling to Japan at the end of the month, June 30th to be exact. I am from Australia. I booked this a fair while ago and am kinda scared that I may get this stupid virus which from what I have heard Japan is freaking out over. Or it could be even worse, sit near someone on a plane that has it and be quarantined anyway! From what I read I better not be stuck in a hotel for the 10 days I am there. Thats not what I paid lots of money for.

Does anyone have any information on what the protocols are in Japan at the moment for planes coming into Narita?

You may have noticed that everywhere is freaking out about swine flu. Most of it is media induced panic, don't worry about it.

Japan the last I heard was in major freakout mode. This includes anyone showing flu-like symptoms and people surrounding them on planes are quarantined for up to 10 days. I don't want that to happen.

Last I heard about Narita, they were checking people's temperatures as they got off the plane. Haven't heard anything since then, though. Last time I went to Tokyo (weekend before last), I saw 1 person that I can remember that actually had a mask on, for what it's worth. *shrug*

Japan is always in freakout mode whenever someone sneezes. My brother lives in the district with the highest rate of confirmed cases (Kanzai) and it's something like 200. And for this they've closed down ~1000 public buildings. Kind of out of proportion.

Especially considering that the new flu is about as deadly as the normal sniffles and the there's probably a lot more cases of the normal flu going around

[EDIT] I'm an idiot. I thought you were worried about getting the flu yourself, but this seems about a ruined vacation. Which is far more likely, depending on where you're going of course. But on the upside, you'll have no trouble finding tables as restaurants or hotel rooms. Hell, they're in such hysteria over there that hotels are going out of business due to the low stream of tourists

I know this is thread necromancy, but Japan doesn't appear to be nearly as worried about this stuff as they used to be. None of my employers are considering cancelling my trip home anymore, sicks masks aren't being strapped around my face at work, and school hasn't been closed for a week recently. I think we're over it here, and I am in Japan's ground zero.
