    Actually, he burned out his brain using his powers to much - he's not very strong anymore. He can move small objects like coins, but that's about it. So if you go with my theory, holding the mask to his face is really the only thing he uses his powers for anymore...

    Oh man, I just got a thought staring at that Blue Beetle cover. What if the scarab isn't a sentient lifeform? What if it's a ship? A very tiny ship for one or more very tiny aliens. What if that's why Ted flew around in his Bug, being someone subtly influenced by the scarab when he was exposed to it?

    Just a theory. Plus it'd open up the possibility of a crossover with the All New, All Asian, Alliterative Atom.
