Going tomorrow morning to make the Bat for Lashes show at the Crocodile* in the evening.

Will have a good chunk of the day tomorrow and the next day depending on how long we want to stay to do other stuff.

Experience Music Project?
Aquarium?

What do you guys suggest?

Coming from Vancouver. Will probably eat at at least one non-Canadian fast food chain....

*is this venue open prior to concerts, like just operating as a cafe? We're not sure how early to get down there to be at top of line.

EMP is pretty sweet, if you like sci-fi check out the Museum in its basement too for sure. Pike Place Market is a fantastic tourist destination. The Underground Tour was fun when I did it. If you want fast food, get Dick's. Space Needle is fun to look at, I guess, so check out Seattle Center maybe.

Do not get dicks, jesus their burgers are barely above mcdonalds. Scifi Museum is awesome, especially if you are a fan of the genre, the aliens stuff is really cool to see up close.

I can't remember any of the local restaurants I enjoy, there was a great vietnemese place I ate at near gameworks.

I second the recommendation for both Pike Place Market and Dick's

I'm actually going to Seattle for surgery this week but I'm going to have the whole weekend to do whatever. Any recommendations are welcome!

Note: Pre-Op appointments on Friday, surgery on Monday

God, Dick's was the biggest disappointment for me. It just tastes like a McDonald's cheeseburger with shredded lettuce thrown on.

The appeal of Dick's is that they're open late, and dirt cheap. Perfect greasefood to cap off a night of drinking, but yeah, not so great for lunch.

The Crocodile used to be a cafe proper, and it'd be open during the day, but I do not know if that the the case now that it's changed ownership. Their website might have more info.

The underground tour was pretty interesting when we did it last year. A lot of history about Seattle etc.

    Prolly too late, but...

That fish market place where they throw the fish around (Pike Place I guess it is called) was pretty cool. Just watch out for the angler fish they hide in the ice, don't touch it!!! Trust me! Don't!!!

I know it's little dangly lightbulb is enticing, but don't, I'm telling you.

That aside, the city is a lot of fun to go poking around. The REI store they have there is huge, I think it had a rock climbing wall inside too, but that was a looong time ago that I was there.
