To you, yeah. To them, no. They will charge you to leave your contract. But I think that amount depends on how long you have left on your contract. Call them up. Tell them exactly what you posted.

If you cancel the account you lose your number forever. Porting your number over to a new provider will cancel tmobile automatically and all you will then have to do is pay the etf and go on with your life.
