Be gentle, this is my first OP.
So I picked this up about a week ago, and have been playing around with it a bit here and there.
Basically it is Animal Crossing Wild World with wizards, spells, classes, dorm rooms, etc.
You take control of your avatar as the only human on this little world, as in AC, all of the inhabitants are either animal, wooden horses, or robots with tvs for heads.
You start off in the game learning the controls of the game and what you are supposed to do, at first you go thru seven classes to teach you the basics of casting spells, where all of the shops are, how to play an instrument, and other wizardly things.
After that every week you are given three classes to take to learn either a few spells or something that relates to the magic you are doing.
Along with that once a week there is "Mystery Time" where the world gets all weird and an Extracurricular Class is presented. After you do the class and mystery time is going on, you get a chance to play around in it and get different mushrooms, plants etc.
After Mystery Time is over, there will be a side quest or main mystery where you have to solve it, this is part of a story that spans the whole year.
There are five main shops, one bar and hidden shops. The five main shops include a clothing store, a "Nooks" shop where you can get stuff for your dorm room, and buy brooms to fly around on..Oh yea, I did forget to mention you can fly on brooms didnt I? Well yea, you can. Anyway then there is an Alchymist shop where you can take jobs for extra money, a flower shop, and finally the bar.
Pretty much everything that was in AC:WW is in this game, you want to hunt bugs, your wand is a net, you want to fish, your wand is a fishing pole, you want to find treasure buried in the ground, there is a spell that lights it up for you then your wand turns into a shovel. Its all there.
As is the company of all of the townies, you can actually "date" them and have in town crushes. Of course a little magic to help it along doenst hurt either. But what if you dont want to be freinds with anyone? Well then you use magic to piss them off, make them fart, make a tub fall on their head, zap them with lightning, or heck just zap them to sleep.
Oh look screenshots.

You can make your own clothing as well in this game, sadly you cant make tiles for the ground ala AC:WW or I would have already made another LttP village like I had in AC.

Not bad graphics, though.
I still haven't gotten around to playing it, but all the things I read about it said it was a better Animal Crossing. Nothing but good things about it.
I almost wouldnt say its better but its close.
There are some things that could have been changed in this game, little things that later on become a small annoyance, such as when moving into a different area, having to either change your wand back to say a net, or re-chanting the spell you just chanted in the last area. Those are small changes that could have been easily fixed at launch, but other than that..Yea there is a metric shitton more to do in this game than there was in AC:WW, and I would almost go far as to say this is what AC:WW should have been.
I was in the "bar" and left my ds sitting there to answer the phone, came back and I had learned the song that was playing in the background. Apparently I am able to play the instrument that I bought for looks with the songs that I learn.
Also I am "dating" the robot with the TV on his head.
Yay?
