3rd Broken X-Box, Any options other than getting another soon to be broken console?
Does anyone know, is there any way to get some kind of credit to buying a X-Box SKU that isn't fucked? I'm assuming this is not doable but I thought I'd ask. They keep sending me refurbished old models which break anywhere between 3 months and 1 year later. It's getting old. All I wanted, was to have an X-Box for the release of Ghostbusters and they couldn't even give m that, god damn it.
This is the 3rd time, I think it's been one new system and two refurbished systems.
Got it in fall 2006, broke spring 2008, then spring 2009 and then broke 3 months later.
I take good care of my systems too.
Get it repaired again - as long as it's an RROD or an E74 error you're still covered - just. However, when you get the replacement, verify that it works and sell the thing sans hard drive.
Then go buy a new Arcade with the proceeds, allowing you to not only ensure you get one with the updated components but also have a new warranty that will extend for another year for all issues and three for the RROD/E74.

I'm going to throw a similar question in this thread.
My original 360 Elite just RROD'd on me and is about to get back to me repaired. How much would you guys charge for an Elite on Craig's List sans HD? I mean, since now every SKU has an HDMI port...and I'm not giving up my larger HD, there really isn't any difference between the Elite and the Arcade, right?
Yeah, if you're just selling the machine and nothing else, the only difference is the colour. Black case, silver tray, as opposed to the Pro's white case, silver tray, and the Arcade's white case, white tray.

I'd sell it too, then get a new one with the money. Keep your HHD like the above poster said

Well, fuck, hopefully I get $150.00 for it.
