Background: my father owns a medium sized manufacturing company that markets the products it manufactures to consumers and spas.
What I do: I need to learn everyones job, from sales to production to shipping to book keeping.
What I need: for the next few weeks, I'll be focusing on book keeping. This is the 'green visor' sort of guy that isn't so savvy when it comes to explaining the job, other than describing tasks and telling me how to do them.
What I actually need: I need a quick crash course on book keeping and baaaasic accounting. I want to know what a balance sheet really is, what a General Ledger is, how inventory gets taxed, and the basics of payroll.
Book keeping for dummies maybe?
Any help would be much appreciated
