I've seen these here and there for a few months and thought I might get one for Fathers Day since Ive heard mostly good things about them. Does anyone know where I can buy them in the UK? Online is fine though some kind of chain that carries them would be handy.
I can see them on Amazon but they seem to be exclusively sold by independent sellers on there and Ive not had good luck with buying from these in the past and thats ignoring the often £5 delivery costs. If I get one for my dad I need to be able to buy refills as needed and I ain't paying £5 every time I need some £4 cartridges.
I use www.intellicig.com. I've been smoking electronic cigarettes now for a good 4 or 5 months, and have no cravings for regular cigs at all. Check the site out anyway, see what you think.
I don't know of any high-street retailers that sell them though, not any chains anyway. You may find some independent stores selling them, but none that I've heard of (in Manchester anywho).
In September 2008, the World Health Organization issued a release proclaiming that it does not consider the electronic cigarette to be a legitimate smoking cessation aid, stating that to its knowledge, "no rigorous, peer-reviewed studies have been conducted showing that the electronic cigarette is a safe and effective nicotine replacement therapy."[5] Studies have shown that when smokers use vapourized nicotine for either supplimental or smoking cessation reasons, the vaporized nicotine produces similiar addictive and psychological effects as cigarettes. If you're thinking about using this to quit smoking/nicotine, it's not exactly going to help you do that. These also seem really expensive compared to regular cigarettes, but I'm not quite sure how much normal ones cost across the pond.

Its for my dad who I dont think will ever stop smoking.
But if he can do so without all the tar filling his lungs and wittling away at his health? I'll take that.
EDIT: Urahonky, apparently a cartridge is like 20 cigarettes and you can get cartridges for less than a fiver, which is what a lot of regular ciggies cost. But again, the health benefits are worth the cost, hes already had two heart attacks and a bypass but no matter what I cant convince him to stop.
And thanks for the links guys, Ill take a look. My family seem adamant he'd never use it but I dont see why it would hurt.

*Thanks Thanatos!

We've ordered 2 for clients at work, and 1 for my boss's husband. No complaints!
