iphone jailbroken 2.2=>3.0, (different computer)

ok so i've got my iphone, and it's jailbroken.

i'm downloading the 3.0 update right now.

that's not the part that bothers me. I'm attempting to sync this iphone with my laptop because the computer my iphone is currently synced to is across the country.

am i going to lose all my contacts? i assume i'll lose my music but it's all on here too. otherwise i'll have to wait about 3 weeks to update. =(

    I'd wait.

    1. the jailbreak won't hold on 3.0. they haven't jailbroken it yet.

    2. You will probably lose all your contacts if you're not syncing them OTA with mobile me or google sync. Even if there's a 50/50 chance, do you want to risk it?

    ok well i transcribed my contacts to this computer, and went for it.

    completely successful, didn't even delete my contacts/messages/applications(non jailbroken ones, anyway) **edit OR MUSIC!! haha

    so go go iphone.
