Ok, so my family is going to visit my Aunt and Uncle in Charleston SC, we make the trip every few years and we do pretty much the same thing. I would like to change it up with a nice restaurant, maybe not real expencive, but deliciousness is a must. My aunt and uncle arent really the eating out types so they wont be much help.

Note: we always go to Hyman's and I dont plan on changing that, I love that place.

So yeah, gimme some suggestions guys!

Well I guess it'll really depend on what you're looking for.

Grill 225 is REALLY nice but also REALLY expensive. They're basically a steakhouse with a few twists.
Fleet Landing is pretty fantastic if you like seafood. It's actually ON the bay and has a lot of history.
One of my personal favorites is Sticky Fingers. It's not exactly fancy or anything but they have fantastic ribs and BBQ.
Pretty much anything down by the market is a good shot too.

Stickyfingers is just another chain. Fleet Landing is one of the best places though- Get a bucket of beer and oysters.

If you like little hole-in-the-wall places, try PaPaZuZu's on King street. pretty much just has gyros. Lots of old style places there, and you're right next to CofC which has a really nice campus. Jestine's is nearby on Meeting st, if you want country style food. Little place, long wait... but it's worth it. Poogan's Porch on queen.

The Middleton Place restaurant is also really good, plus... Middleton garden. Can't go wrong.

There's so much good food down here. gah.

Fleet Landing sounds pretty great, Ill suggest it.

Middleton place seems like it would be awesome, but its a little pricey. Ill have to see, I know my parents are giant fans of gardens like that and Id like to see it too, so who knows.

Poogan's seems good, Ill offer that one too.

Yeah, I know theres a ton of great food there, which is why Im asking. It would take me forever to run through all the reviews and such.

Charleston Crab Shack is good. Or wait, maybe it's the Charleston Crab House. hmm

Poogan's is pretty cool. It's apparently the most haunted restaurant in Charleston. If you decide to go there call ahead and make reservations. It's always been packed when I've been there.

Are you talking about this place?

It is pretty good. I won't say it'll blow you away but it's relatively affordable and a nice place to relax in. Ate there for lunch twice and it was good both times.
