I was really into homebrew for the PSP quite sometime ago, I decided to let my PSP update... and suprisingly only recently have I realized that there is no region lock. With my newfound knowledge, I decided to look at the PSP import market for ways to get the most out of my handheld.
What I found is that the library is ridiculous, tons of titles... sure some of which probably are unplayable due to the language barrier but; I am sure there is a fuck-ton of lil gems out there.
Does anyone know whats worth an import? I have looked at reviews etc... but have found almost nothing in regard to the matter.
if you like the DJ Max game that is out in english the Korean ones are great. They are in almost, if not, full english.

DJ MAX Portable 2, Clazziquai, and probably Black Square have English option modes. Portable 1 doesn't. The US released one basically is Portable 2, so you're better off getting Clazzi or BS if you go that route.
Beyond that, there's Initial D Street Stage. It's not translated, but it has an English language manual for some reason, and it's an arcade perfect port of Initial D V3.
There's also a lot of shmup compilations that never got released here, like the Parodius and Salamander anthologies.
