Collecting money for a big party.

Hey there.

I'm hosting a big party in a few months, and I need to collect the registration fee from people between now and then. I'm wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a website or service that would allow me to do this. I'd really prefer it to be free.

I could just have people send funds to my e-mail via PayPal; but that seems kind of low tech, you know?

Thanks in advance.

    You can't get like,

    cash?

Are you inviting people you never see? Or anyone you see never sees?

For that matter, can you collect at the party?

Why let paypal take the cut, anyway? How many people are you inviting?

I don't think you're going to find anything that's completely free. If you want to avoid Paypal I guess you could ask people to mail you checks or something.

He's talking about the Post-PAX dinner, and it's going to be about 100 people from all over the country at 35 bucks a head. So cash isn't really an option.

Looks like your best option is just to figure out what cut paypal would take, and add that to the cost.

Any reason why you can't just have everyone wire it into your account?

Back in the day, bucko, we just had an A and a B button... and we liked it.

I'll throw amazon payments out there. I've used it to pay people collecting for events before, and it seemed quite painless

Because having people email you monies is low tech? What more do you want?
