Ok, so I hope this is the right place to post this, but I'll be going to China for about a month in a few weeks (July 7th to be exact). I was looking for suggestions on what games I should bring to help the flight and any dull moments there might be on the trip. I'll have a laptop with me, a PSP (if I can find any good games) and a DS. I'm looking for cheap-er games (nothing TOO pricey). Thanks for the help in advance!
I spent a few transatlantic flights loving a combination of Phantom Hourglass and Mario Kart. Zelda games in general are perfect travelling games. Hell, I'm STILL working on Link to the Past.

Rock Band Unplugged, if you like rhythm games.

Can we get the chemicals in. 'Cause anything's better than this.

Well for laptop gaming you generally want older games on the cheap.
And for those, GOG.com is the go to place that the moment. All the games are priced at either $5.99 or $9.99, and they're 100% DRM free. I'll say that again, you buy it, you own it, no verification, no install limits, not even disc checks (since it's all digital), you can isntall it on as many machines as you want.
Personally I'd recommend Jagged Alliance 2 if you're into turn based strategy (if you remember X-com fondly, you'll probably be interested). The Fallout games, despite some interface oddness, still hold up really well today and I'd easily recommend them. I'd also suggest Freespace 1 and 2, but I suspect you won't be taking a joystick with you. :P
They've also got quite a few other classic games, Beyond Good and Evil, the Pro Pinball series (if you really enjoyed your pinball games), the unreal series (if you've got a mouse hooked up).
They don't have the Baldur's Gate series, but that's usually a stapble of laptop gaming so if you can find them, get them. Also, the Thief series of games, because those are awesome.
If you can put up with ASCII i'd suggest trying some rogue-likes. ADOM is a good starting out one and while a bit brutal to get started, once you get into it it's a lot of fun.
How long is your laptop going to run off batteries? Mine only lasts about 5 hours, half that if playing games. Dont rely upon it during long haul flights.
I usually take just my DS. Professor Layton I would imagine would be perfect.
I so second this! For such a simple game I've put so many hours into it. It really wants you to just keep playing and playing!
I would, but I'm not too big of a fan of tower defense games (I know that they do something different and I know I'm a closed minded bigot to tower defense games, blah blah blah :P)
My laptop battery will probably last two-three hours, but I figure there might be an outlet I can plug into on the plane (don't most 747s or larger planes have outlets for laptops and cellphone chargers nowadays?)
I'll have to look into Final Fantasy Tactics, I haven't played any but III (or an early one, I can't remember), but I did enjoy it when I did play it. I'll look into a few of the other games you guys mentioned, hopefully I'll find one to satiate my needs ;P
You have a laptop. You want a timekiller. Civilization IV Complete has the original game, both expansions, and the decent-to-good standalone Colonization for $40. Get that and any given roguelike and you'll be all set.

Depends on the class and the company running the flight. Call ahead.
If it's Virgin then they'll have everything, including a butler who will massage your legs while you play Civ 4. Even in coach.
On the other hand, the last flight I took was with Qantas and even in first class a man with a big beard pummeled me in the face every couple of hours to remind me I was on my way to Australia. With his fists.

The only problem I would have with Layton is that I occasionally get stuck on a puzzle and just want to turn it off and do something else. Which, on a plane, isn't a wide choice of options.
My travel games usually include one RPG of sorts (Chrono Trigger, FFTactics, etc) and one or two 'light' games (N+, New SMB, etc).

Well, thanks to Gamestop's B2G1 sale I ended up getting inFamous, Final Fantasy Crystal Chrons: ring of Fates and Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Also, holy shit do trade-in values suck. I traded in Resistance 2, Darkness, MLB 08: The Show and NCAA Football 08 (this title I admittedly expected nothing) and only got $19... if it wasn't for their "Trade in 3 games over $1 and get $10" I would've been very peeved.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I did look for The World Ends With YOU used, but it wasn't there, also I checked their website and I'm pretty sure I had a seizure from one set of instructions... If you have any more suggestions I may lighten up my wallet to purchase them if they make my wan- mouth salivate enough
LucasArts adventure games (Monkey Island, The Dig, etc), Beneath a Steel Sky is free, Dwarf Fortress if you have a numpad, The Ur-Quan Masters, Fallout + Fallout 2, World of Goo, Braid.

Oh yeah, actual game recommendations. Professor Layton wound up being more frustrating than fun for me, but Elite Beat Agents was always good for some short bursts of fun.

Great time waster.

I went through a lot of car trips with Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Advance Wars, and the Tactics Ogre game they did for the GBA.
Greatest hits now, so it falls under that "cheap-er" qualifier.
And it's awesome.

Pretty much the only game you'll need forever.
I KISS YOU!
You'll thank me later.

That happens on every flight to Australia.
