I doubt anyone would know, but I couldn't find anything via google. Does anyone know a good place to play D&D and the like in the tri-cities area of Tennessee?

I don't know of any myself, but I'd check Meetup.com and Craigslist - I've had a lot of success finding general board game groups through Meetup.

Have you considered posting on boardgamegeek?

In my experience comic books shops or any non-chain store that sells table top games is a great place to find local games to join.

Not local in terms of state, but there is Origins coming up this weekend and GenCon in a couple months.
