Inside bug repellent?

Is there any easy to get bug repellent for the indoors? Like those Off candles but that can be used in, let's say, a computer room? I happen to have the window open once in awhile and the bugs just love it.

option 1)

mosquito netting over the window.

option 2)

get some catnip spray and spray it all over the window.

option 3)

bug zapper somewhere outside the window (they are being attracted to the light of your computer monitor)

I have a net of sorts, but they still seem to get in.

What's the catnip spray gonna do?

It's a 2nd story window, so the bug zapper wouldn't be easy.

Do you just open the window so there is nothing between the inside of your house and the elements, or does your window have a screen on it?

If its the former, do the latter.
