XBLA won't accept my debit card.

Anyone know what I should do? I put everything in properly and go to buy some points and it tells me;
Your credit card could not be authorized. Please contact your credit card provider, or enter a different credit card.
The heck? I know it's got enough money on it..

    Check that the bank didn't block it. My bank did that the first time I used the card on Live as a preventive measure.

    You have to authorize the use of the card on Live via your bank first. That said, certain cards don't actually work, I know mine doesn't (Maestro)
