Transportation question - Portland, OR - SOLVED

This question really only goes out to people familiar with Portland, since it's super specific.
So I live up on the hill next to (literally) OHSU. Now I don't have a car, but I'm cool with walking and busing around the city. I've been trying to find a bus route that goes across the Ross Island Bridge so that I can get onto Powell, but so far every bus route that Trimet's site offers me has me transferring on several buses, crossing the river on one of the bridges up north, and then back down. It's an annoying and time consuming loop.
The bus stop right next to my house is 1988 if anyone wants to check it for themselves. I'm starting to wonder if buses cross that bridge at all. It'd save a LOT of time if I could just go in a straight line to it (for the record, walking down the hill is something I don't mind so I don't HAVE to leave from 1988).
So, what's the story here?

is that what your looking for? Using the interactive map, it shows 9, 17,19,66 lines go across that bride. It looks like route 9 goes right across it onto powell.

No problem. I still need to drag my ass out to ground kontrol one of these evenings. You should come over too.
