Inter-tel phone system: i want to record phone calls. Help!
I've currently got 10+ Inter-tel multi-line phones.
I would like to be able to record all conversations on each of these phones and have the recordings kept in one place so that I can then search for those conversations by either date, time, phone number, or agent id.
Anyone have any experience in this field?

My company uses a program called Q-finiti
it has all the features you listed above, and when configured properly it allows recordings of the agent's screen in 3 second pseudo stop motion during calls as well.
I don't know what the costs for this program are, though it does sound like exactly what you need.
i kind of inherited this project and i know very little about our actual phone system other than the word inter-tel and that theres a ginormous switchboard and like.... lots of iron blocks in a tray and one of them leads to a computer and i think that computer runs xp but i dont have the password.
any advice on what sorts of questions i need to answer in order to determine exactly what i am working with here?

Sorry, everything I know about the Q-finiti system is outlined above.. My work uses "Avaya" for their phone lines, and there are a lot of them. So I know it has compatibility with that, I imagine this is one of those deals where the system has to be custom tailored for every client so you might give the people over at Q-finiti a call and ask them what potential costs would be, and what information you'd need to give them to get a more defined estimate.
I assume you're working with in some kind of budget?
probably a good idea to have that on hand.
