[WoW] Raiding is easy now but can you handle TWO Jormungar worms!?!

I don't like the Colosseum because it lacks in any sense of urgency or danger for Azeroth. I'm not some damn prize fighter, I'm a hero of the horde and I don't see why I should have to go into your enclosed arena and kill some worm unless said worm is about to unleash the curse of a thousand boils onto the entire population of Azeroth.
The interest of raids is having an important impetus to stop the actions of those inside the raid. Old gods threatening the planet. Scheming dragons manipulating whole populations. Crazed Kings who've made a pact with demons. There's none of that with the Colosseum.
Yeah very true. No big bad evil to kill here, just stuff the Argent Dawn rounded up and said
"Hey dudes fight this shit to prove your worth!"
"But. I killed half the black dragonflight, 2 old gods, multiple demonic leaders, Illidan and his underlings, destroyed Naxxramas TWICE and wiped out several troll civilisations!"
"Yeah... but can you defeat TWO Jormungar worms!?!"
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
The top guild on my server only finally got 25man firefighter on Tuesday. I wonder if that's how/why they finally got it.
They're only like 30th in the US, too.
Nope. They did it pre-nerf on Monday. Some of our guildies were chatting with them after they got it and they were still wiping all over the place. I guess they had a couple 1% wipes that night from what I hear. I think their wipe total was somewhere in the 300's.
* Beasts:Your first challenge will pit you against a group of terrifying beasts the Argent Crusade captured in Northrend, including (but not limited to) a magnataur and not one, but two jormungar wyrms.
There's going to be more story to it anyway. From the little snippets I've found it seems that the Argent Crusade will be using the colosseum to find the heroes strong enough to aid them directly when they take the fight straight to Arthas.

Yeah, by fighting shit they rounded up and stuck in an arena.
Although the newer screenshots with the arena floor collapsing into a nerubian area below have piqued my interest some more.
My guild finally decided we'd had enough of Naxx, so we trundled off to Ulduar for the first time.
None of us knew a damn thing, except the one guy without a microphone who had done Flame Levi once before.
It's fun, I gotta say. Really separates the skilled and the unskilled. Got FL down, I want to try him with a tower up next time. Had to call the raid shortly there after as two of our DPS were on call and were called. What's a good next boss to try? We got through Ignis' trash, but we were down to 8 people so we just stopped the raid.
Most people seem to find Razorscale to be the easiest of the other antechamber bosses. Ignis needs a good offtank, and if he gets slagpotted you could easily wipe anyway. XT is more straightforward, I'd recommend him after razor assuming you have competent aoe for the scrapbots and people who don't take ages running out with the bombs.

There must be some mechanic in place that prevents your OT from being slagpotted once he has an add or two on him, because i have never seen him slagpot the OT.
We don't shatter the adds, however, just tank through it...so that may be why.

I remember from early hotfix notes, there's a check in place where if you are meleeing/are being meleed by the constructs you are not considered a viable target for getting stuck in the pot.

Yeah, I later noticed the post was tuesday at 1am, so they got it hours before the nerf.
However, the figure for wipes I heard was only a hundred or so, but that was through the grapevine.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us
Speed on Ignis isn't really an issue at all for us though since we got him down in under 3 minutes 30 secs even when our OT got slagpotted and the add killed 2 dpsers at 40%. It's less than half a players worth of dps lost to target and nuke the add when it's brittle anyway.

Some of these things are hanging around outside the Coliseum, if you go there on the PTR you see this magnataur and yeti asleep outside in chains with NPCs around them saying stuff about how awesome they are and it's a good thing we have these drugs to keep them docile for now. It's sort of sad.
How much dps do you reasonably need on 10-man to do Ignis without shattering the adds? We just do it the regular way, but our dps is also a bit random... some weeks we have our best people around, some weeks not so much.
We killed Hodir for the first time last week, was super easy once we tanked him on top of the mage who makes the cozy fires. Hoping for Thorim this week, and then Freya if we are really lucky.

I think at about 18k DPS for the raid you can squeak it out. A good indicator is if you can get him to 50% by the time he has 5 stacks of the buff without using bloodlust.

Until you realize that if they were not drugged and chained they would rampage around destroying shit while possibly doing a little rape as well.
Good week over all so far. Got Thorim, Mimiron, and Vezax down in 25, and then did XT hard mode in 10 man tonight. Vezax is easy once you get a solid interrupt rotation down. Took us four attempts and then I got mad at the 4 warriors we had and told them over vent their rotation and to call the next person on vent after they pummel. 2 shot it after that but that was because the healers went oom on the first attempt cause of bad luck with shadow crashes and saronite vapor.
Can't get aggro if you never get slagpotted. Used to mangle ignis for infected wounds and then FFF/demo roar and got potted all the time. Never touched Ignis from there on out and never got potted.

I keep sunders up on Ignis while I offtank the constructs ( we don't shatter them), and I've never had a slagpot.
Man. I'm annoyed. My 10man group has fallen to 3rd for progression. We were first up until last week. One week where we aren't playing at the top of our game, and two guilds finish their meta achievement and pass us up. On GuildOx, we have server firsts for like 80% of the Ulduar progression achievements. But last week we had a rough week, and somehow two guilds managed to pass us up thanks to the nerfs.
We've been working on Firefighter, pre-nerf for like 4 weeks. The day after Blizzard nerfs it some scrub guild gets server first while we're doing our 25man raid.

Lemme get my violin.
Anyways, I had to move and apparently in the 2 weeks I couldn't make it to the my 10 man weekend group they decided to do hardmodes, and now working on 1 light, and I haven't been able to get back in since.
I could care less about the drake or hardmode loot, but getting another group of quality people to make it is like pulling teeth.
I really hate the kind of people who log on only for 25 man raid time, and that's it.

i am understanding that type of people more and more
i've just bought an n64 and basically unless im needed for a raid, im off playing ocarina of time
I understand people have their things to do, BUT WUT ABOUT MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
I can get some decent people but theres some problems, the other group has all the healers that log on the weekends.
And my other tank gquit because he was paranoid about guild issues, like a rune edge that dropped went to a recruit who probably wont make any other raids then for our ret set. when we go ret for like 1/3 of the fights there.
The big problem was he thought that it was going to our warrior tank for when he goes arms in their 10 man group....where he is the main tank.

Firefighter is still hard. They're not exactly a "scrub guild" if they just finished the meta.

My guild is much like this actually. We're a pretty strong progression guild. I think we're 2nd for horde and 4th for server for 25man progression. My 10man group is a small bunch of us who are interested in the Rust Bound Drake and the achievements/titles etc that come from 10man.
The other 15+ people that are a regular part of our 25man don't give a flip about 10man raiding. We only run one 10man on a regular basis because the other people just don't care. I'm fine with this. My guild is a 25man raid guild. Our 10man is just a side project.
And honestly, on 25man raid nights, I don't log on until about 30 minutes before the raid. I log in early enough that I can do my Argent Tournament dailies and other than that, I'm not playing WoW.
One of the encounters you'll have to defeat is Argent Confessor Paletress. Well, maybe. She has an achievement related to her specifically, and it calls for "experiencing" 5 different memories from your past. This is based off of the Summon Memory spells and followed up with Memory Spawn Effect. Since Crusaders' Coliseum isn't yet active on the PTR, it can't be confirmed exactly how the memories play into the encounter. But, it could potentially mean you'll fight a boss from the past. Or it could just be some form of cutscene during the encounter after she uses an ability on you.
At any rate, here's a list of the memories from the data files. Keep in mind this isn't actually available for testing yet, so this list could change before the instance is opened and before 3.2 is released. There are 25 memories in total, with 26 Summon Memory spells, so one of them is probably used to trigger the random memory spell. These memories are, of course, all for the 5-player version of Crusaders' Coliseum. I've broken them up into what they were in the past (raid boss or dungeon boss) for ease of browsing the list.
