Ok, I'm about to pull my hair out. I've read tutorial after tutorial after tutorial on how to get Windows 7 Beta onto a flash drive. However, I keep running into the same problem. Maybe someone here can help me.
Basically, when I enter "bootsect.exe /nt60 g:" (no quotes), instead of rainbows shooting out of my computer, I get "could not map drive partitions to the associated volume device objects: access is denied. I have no idea why I'm getting that message.
DO you have you bios set to be bootable from USB, or have the legacy settings on?
The bios isn't set to bootable from USB, but I didn't think that would matter for the laptop I'm just trying to format the USB on (installing it to a netbook). I'm not sure what legacy settings are.
the thumb drive isn't write protected is it?
And it is formatted in FAT32?
Drive isn't write protected, and the guides are trying to format it to NTFS.
Your sure g: is the drive path of the flash drive right?
I'm sure.
I've gone through around six or seven guides and I keep running into a different problem with each. *sigh*

Looking at the two of them though they seem identical so I'm not sure if it will be any more useful. Best of luck.
