ROCKET RIOT is an Xbox Live Arcade title released June 17, 2009. It costs $10, I mean 800 MS points...
If you haven't yet, go download the demo and play it until you buy it. There are something like 100 characters available, each being unlocked when you destroy them throughout the game. In the demo, your only starting choice is...
Yes, seriously.
But there are plenty of pirates, ninjas and who knows what else to unlock in the game.
I'm only starting this thread after having just played the demo, but I'm definitely considering burning those 800 MS points that have been sitting on my account for a few months...
The controls are very simple, left stick flies you around in any direction, right stick aims (a la Smash TV, Geo Wars, etc). You don't simply point and shoot, though. You hold the stick in a direction to charge a shot, then release to fire a
rocket!
Spamming taps doesn't do anything, but a stroke every second will keep you firing, while holding for two or three seconds will send your shot farther and straighter.
MOAR PIXS:
The number top center is not the number of actual enemies on-field (unless maybe you hide in the corner for like half an hour), it's how many you need to kill to finish the level.
Revised: Now with MOAR pics!

Guy1: There's nothing bitchin about the games soundtrack. It's practically all elevator music.
Guy2: That's just hilariously stupid. I can't imagine playing a fighting game with "Girl from Ipanema" playing in the background.

Things do start to get a lot crazier than they are at first, having to kill 25, 30 enemies in a stage (luckily, not all spawned at once).
as far as I know the game looks like Chuck Norris.
I was pretty excited for this game after seeing a trailer video. After the demo came out, ehhhhhh not so much. It doesn't feel like there's enough game there to sustain a purchase.
which sorta reminded me of Soldat.
Also, Soldat was definitely awesome, I can see the comparison.
Everything explodes like worms though, terrain ends up with big potholes (but after some time the level grows back).
zomg adding video to OP...
Edit: Or no trailer. Why can't I post video? Am I doing something wrong!?
Here's a pretty fun video that shows off the gameplay.

Screw you and the imbedded video you rode in on! Why won't it work for meh?
Anyways...
That video is one of the first levels. As you progress through the maps, enemies get for more evasive as well as aggressive, so dying becomes more common (usually takes 3 or 4 shots to kill you, and you regenerate over time).
