Well you see Marty has drawn me drawing a pool cue into Rank's art while he admonishes me for being a scoundrel. In this case he has called me a 'card' which is a play on the word 'cad', which is funny because he has depicted me as the king on a playing card. In the second picture the scene is continuing and Marty says this is a side of me he's never seen before. While he is making a comment on how uncharacteristic this is for me, it is also a play on the card theme again because I have turned around and only the reverse side of the playing card is visible.
The image is a doodle of the soliatire king (i.e. me) with his facial features replaced with 'B^U', a reference to the bland facial expressions used by Webcomic author Tim Buckley, who is often quite hamfisted with his jokes. It is relevant here because I have hamfistedly explained the whole sequence, and am likening my explanation to his
