Rake in Grass is currently running a Larva Mortus giveaway promotion, where the first fifty followers of their Twitter account will get a copy of the full game for free. There were at least twenty-two copies left to grab at the time of writing.
As proven by Wolfire and Pocketwatch Games' free game promotions, indie game developers stand to gain a lot in return (everything from growing support to sales increases) just by giving away their games.
If you have a Twitter account for development updates and encountered difficulties in getting the word out, then start giving some games away today.
[UPDATE: Rake in Grass' giveaway promotion has been extended for an extra week, so there's plenty of time for everybody to follow their Twitter account and get a free code for Larva Mortus.]
Followed on Twitter less than half hour ago and got my code. I'm at work so I can't try it out yet but from the website it looks like horror style Smash TV! Also while on the website came to realize they make some really decent WinMo games that I've played. Undercroft especially.
Also, you might want to change the thread title to be more specific: "Get a free copy of Larva Mortus this week" would work. As it is now, it looks like a spam thread.
Got this game ages ago. It's pretty fun, but I far prefer Jets 'n' Guns, which is their sidescrolling Tyrian style shmup. If you haven't tried it, it's awesome, the name pretty much says it all. Plus they realised that the entire concept of a shmup is patently ridiculous and ran with that to create some absolutely loopy level concepts, like one taking place at a rock concert, or at a zombie safari.
The thing is that Steam won't show that you're playing the full game, even though it can be activated as such. It's why sometimes there are more people playing the EVE demo rather than the full game. People just use their old accounts.
We are sorry, but the key must be used only in our official version only. You can download it at our page.
Steam is an independent distributor, so we are not able to get codes/keys to your version.

Edit: I just received mine. Let's see how the game is.

You also dont need the demo to get the full version as long as they sent you the code.
By the time I read this thread yesterday, the 50 codes were gone.
However, this was the twitter message:
So I got my code!
My Backloggery
Think I'll install it later.
My Backloggery
Aw, shame.

I've got my game code but don't see anywhere to enter it in the steam demo. Am I completely blind or did they do a really good job hiding it?
