Well, a few theories, but lets narrow it down with a few questions.
Saliva viscosity change for some reason. Did you recently start eating different? Smoking? are you ill in any way? Are you drinking enough water? Did you start exercising more? Did you turn on the air conditioning?

If the only difference is that you're now running every day (instead of never), it may just be a change in your hydration.
This feeling could just be because you're drinking more due to your running.
Or it could be you're not drinking enough to keep up with what you're losing by running.
Or it could be what you're drinking, are you drinking water or something else (gatorade?)
If there are no other symptoms, I wouldn't worry about it, just make sure you're staying hydrated and congratulations on running every day, that's good for you.
If there are other mystery symptoms, though, I would keep an eye on things maybe go to a doctor. There was an episode of Mystery Diagnosis where this lady was getting bad headaches accompanied by a strange metallicy taste in her mouth. It turned out she was leaking spinal fluid. Gnarly.
So I guess I'm just saying, based on the information you provided, I wouldn't worry about it. Just stay aware of it and if you get any other unexplainable oddities going on, maybe get yourself checked out.

Swish with some Listerine every morning.
Swish with some whisky every night.
Repeat the same every long day...
and you'll be quite all right.
In all seriousness, keep your mouth clean and if it persists for longer than a month see a dentist.

Hmm. Some people think that exercise can cause you to get a blood like feeling in your mouth. Though I wouldn't count on this being the answer.
Think? This happens.
If you get this taste only after running hard, that's perfectly normal. It will go away once you're in better shape. I forget the exact cause, but I seem to remember something about a gland in the back of the throat being part of the cause, as well as lack of water.

It's perfectly normal.
it's been less noticeable today, I haven't worked out yet
I think it might be a combination of this exercise gland thing and a slight reminder of blood from my wisdom tooth poking in
See a doctor if it keeps up, it could be bacteria or nerve damage.
If you're concerned enough to post in H/A, do yourself a favor and make sure it isn't something serious. Strange tastes/feelings in your tongue aren't normal, and you need to make sure this isn't something more serious.
Give it a day or two and then call if there's any continuation of symptoms.

You could have burned some tastebuds
also: no open or noticeable wounds, cuts or cysts
no infections that I can see
no pain
just the weirdness

I'll see if it sticks around for a while
