people pretty consistently have trouble with the notion that any given publication has many writers with unique opinions and styles working for it

    I've never heard Regina Spektor.

I do think she's oddly attractive, though.

Pitchfork: The place where a bunch of self-important cocks can wank over pre-corked phrases like "paradigm shift" and pretend they're spitting science instead of atrociously worded opinions.

I'd rather stick a dry Q-tip in my dick than read any more of the garbage from that site.

Well in that paragraph from that review I posted, the guy was basically saying "Hey, we're all hipster jackasses and if you're a regular follower of Pitchfork, why do you care about this old band? They're old!"

without actually double checking this, are you seriously basing your opinion on the website on a review you read in 2000?

    The review was in 2000.

I read it about two weeks ago.

But judging from everyone else's responses, it doesn't seem like they've improved.

well I would say if you liked Begin to Hope, you will like her new album

what if I thought begin to hope had a few good songs but was very boring overall

then you might not like it, since it is pretty much more of the same!

watch this video and see if you want to hear more:

    Pitchfork are pretty terrible.

I especially hate this review. 'Hey, they;re kind of similar to joy divison. We know joy division, let's use how close to joy division they are to judge them! And then use comparisons to other bands that don't really make sense after that.' And then they completely misinterpret what they're trying to say about cities and modern life. There are plenty of things wrong with that album, and they manage to miss most of them.

When I do remember my dreams, they are usually fucked up. The worst bit is that after a really crazy dream I usually can't manage to build up the willpower to get out of bed so I spend hours slipping in and out of my mad dreamscape. Those days are the worst.

On the other kind of dreams, I can't remember ever wanting to be anything really badly. I have always considered that one of my biggest problems, really.

I wanted to be a motorcycle cop until I realized how dangerous it would be to chase cars on a motorcycle. So I gave up on that early on.

Then I wanted to be a cartoonist and/or comic artist.

    Now I'm a graphic designer.
