The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I recently played Broken Sword on the DS and while it was a nice little game, the puzzles after the first bit of the game weren't particularly hard or engaging
90% of the puzzles are "distract this person so that you can go over to the thing that they were guarding and do stuff to it"
I remember playing through Grim Fandango recently with my older sister. By the time we got to the second half we were just alt-tabbing between the game and a gameFAQs guide because we are terrible at puzzle/adventure games.

Grim Fandango had plenty of throw-things-at-my-computer-a-la-Myst moments
you'd be chugging along at a good pace and then you'll get stonewalled by a puzzle that you just can't figure out and then you swear a lot and click on everything and go through your inventory a million times and talk to everyone at least five times and then cry for a while
then you come back to it and magically YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO
I recently played through Curse and I remembered nearly all the puzzles but some of them still stumped me because I had no manual I couldn't figure out how to use some of the items so eat them or something.
It took me ages to get the cabana membership card cause of that. I knew where it was I just couldn't get the goddamn maggots!

DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK FOR ME TO NOTICE IT WAS POINTING TO SOMETHING SPECIFIC
I would pick it up and put it down right away in the same general spot and its direction wouldn't change so I was all O_o that's not it

I lucked out by placing it in the exact spot needed in that clearing the first time.
I've been fruitlessly trying to find the Grim Fandango design document for the past 5 minutes.
The last puzzle in the game is copied over twice and is impossible to read, because Tim Schaefer hadn't figured out what to do yet, but wanted to submit it on time.

I found it in literally one second
by typing "grim fandango design document" into the firefox address bar
Schafer also reveals Grim Fandango team's design doc subterfuge, writing "We didn’t have the last puzzle designed when I wrote that document, so I wrote two nonsense paragraphs and then overlapped them in the file so it would look like the final puzzle description was in there, but obscured by a print formatting error. That way I could turn the document in by the deadline."

you are in for a treat
although Curse is the best one and if you say otherwise you're a communist
this is the best thing ever
The best part is that they're keeping that joke in the Special Edition, even though no one who played it originally will get it.
all of them are pretty hard
except for Escape, the only thing hard about that was that utter bullshit Monkey Kombat thing
e: KingMole: I read somewhere that they were thinking about changing it to The Force Unleashed
I'm happy they didn't
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
is Sam and Max Season 2 worth playing?
Do you have any idea how excruciating that was? I don't think you do.
ES EL POLLO DIABLO!
All I want is a decent point + click Sam and Max again. In the old cartoon graphics.

Buying the DVD set from Telltale was a decision I did not regret.
Is one of those whale-watching pirates supposed to be Scrooge McDuck? "Sunlight sparkling off the bay" guy.

MAN that one took me a while
All my other Lucasarts discs worked just fine in the 8 pack I got when I was a kid, but not Monkey Island.
