This strange thing has popped up on my desktop this evening and I have no idea what it belongs to... my process list is pretty small and I don't see anything fishy...
It behaves sort of like a window... I can maximize windows over it, but occasionally it pops back up on top.
If I press Window+D it goes away, but as soon as I maximize any other application it comes back.
Any ideas?

In case it isn't clear, it lives up at the exact top left corner of the screen.

Try restarting Steam, that fixed the problem for me.
