Xbox/laptop issues

I am trying to connect my xbox 360 to xbox live via my laptop computer which is connected to my wireless network in my house. However, every time I try I select: "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" I get the following error message:
"An error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled."

I have tried a tutorial that is linked below to tr to resolve this:

Click Start, Run, type services.msc, and click OK. To enable a service, find it in the right pane and double-click its entry. Be sure its Startup Type is set to Automatic and click OK. All the following services must be thus configured in order to use ICS:

Application Layer Gateway Service
Network Connections
Network Location Awareness (NLA)
Plug And Play
Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
Remote Access Connection Manager
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Telephony

After verifying and/or configuring Automatic startup for each of these services, close the Services window and restart the computer before attempting again to enable ICS.

However, it has not resolved this problem. I have checked and double checked it to no avail. I was wondering/hoping somebody might have some knowledge in this area. I am more of a hardware guy then a software guy myself. =P

If nothing is impossible, then would that not mean that it would be impossible to find something that is impossible?

Do you have Norton running your firewall?
