Maybe you've seen them on Reno 911!. Maybe you've seen them in Wet Hot American Summer. Or perhaps you even remember Viva Variety.
Before all that, they were simply known as The State. In the early '90s, when MTV wasn't completely garbage, they aired a sketch comedy show featuring Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, Thomas Lennon, and the other 8 members of The State. As quickly as it appeared, it was gone, lasting only three seasons. But now it's back! In DVD form.
On July 14th, the entire series will be released on DVD. Every character, every sketch. Louie the "I wanna dip my balls in it!" Guy, Doug, Capt. Monterey Jack, Barry and Levon, all of 'em.
