Help me find a Tv show (possibly not american) SOLVED

This is a mini series about a conspiracy that starts out as something relatively small in the first episode, and by the series end (around 7 episodes, maybe?) it's a big alien conspiracy. I think it may be british, but I'm about 80% sure it's not american.

    The 4400 would've been my guess, but I've only seen a few episodes of the first season.

    If it was animated I would bet you're thinking of Invasion America. It was on the WB and only lasted about 5 episodes if I recall. I remember watching it when I was in my teens.

    Thanks for the replys.

    Invasion earth is the closest one, I think. Definately not the 4400. It was short, but the alien elements only showed up in the final episodes.

    Anything else?
