Hi all, this is my first post here and I know it's a bit cheeky linking to a site that has our game on it but after a week and a half since release I'm looking for some feedback and exposure with a gaming savvy audience. It's hard being an indie developer and I hope this doesn't get taken down but I thought that an indie game would have no safer a place than the Penny Arcade forum.
Anyway, Tile Driver be it's name and path making be the game. It's a simple puzzle game that just sees you moving tiles around to make a safe path for an oncoming car. We have over 60 missions, an endless arcade mode, 20 cars, and 12 acheivements to unlock. Tile Driver was developed on a big fat budget of nothing over a few months.
If you'd like to see our other stuff check out my site listed in my profile.
Any thoughts or comments are of course welcome as we'd love to hear from people who aren't friends or family, we're struggling to get our company off the ground so anyone who actually buys our game or donates to us will receive eternal love (of the non-physical kind) from all of us here
Ok after checking the rules I think I'll make a few changes to the initial post since I don't want them to think I'm whoring my site. I've contacted one of the mods and hopefully this thread will be fine and dandy by the time I'm done.
This probably makes me a horrible person and I might be wrong but
it looks like you just took Bioshock's hacking minigame but put a car and background in instead
no offense
We're aware of the similarities to Bioshock but we like to think our game is a little bit better thanks to the tongue and cheek humor and actual level structure (rather than it all just being a square full of tiles). But seriously don't worry about offending me, gametrailers users were much worse
Tile Driver is a little different from Pipe Dream in that you don't get to choose what tiles go down, they're already there and you have to shuffle them around but yes it was a big inspiration for us

This post made me cringe.
'Mod gods' Urrrrugh. Thats sickening. They're a few nerds who run a forum, don't demean yourself for them.

In all fairness, Bioshock's hacking minigame was a wholesale rip-off of a game from the 80's.
Nothing innately wrong with reskinning a classic and adding some new features.

"Oh yeah, we've got hacking in our game, and you play this minigame when you do it. It's basically just Pipe Dream, but whatevs."
All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
Hey. You there. You better watch yourself.
Also, yeah, really, if you want to advertise with PA, this is not how it goes.
