Checked Tivo tonite to find my old recording of the Big Lebowski when I found it had recorded a movie called
The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down
Its a comedy, part story, part instructional video. It tells a story about a group of kids in LA and how they attempt to have a great time with the nightlife there. The whole movie is divided into chapters and kind of works like one of those old instructional videos from the 50s. It covers how to get the most fun while avoiding the dangers of the heavy partier lifestyle. Talks about the different goals of men and women at the club, the difference between fun drugs and sketchy drugs, and how to get into the right places.
So I watch it and im thinking to myself, "Why have I not heard of this movie before.. Its fucking spot on accurate! I call my friends and nobody has heard of it; I look online and nobody is talking about it.
Has anybody seen this? Or did Tivo just bless me with a new personal cult classic?
