A lot of people like the taste, Pods. Fuck if I know why, but I know plenty of folks who do.
It's for times when you want fruit punch, but also want to get drunk.
Then drink a bahama mama or a planters punch or something.
Too much work, they don't already come in individual 12 ounce bottles. And I'd like to see you order a Bahama mama at the kind of bar you don't order Mike's at, too.

what might you do/go
I'd probably go to Klong for some cheap thai, go to a nice-ish bar/lounge like Klimat or Bourgeois Pig, head to a hipster bar around the LES/Chinatown like Delancy or Home Sweet Home, and then hang out there until I met my friend.
In fact, if you were to ask me for my top five domestic beers, the local one, two, and the cuvee would probably be in there. Dogfish Head 90 and Victory Hop Wallop rounding out the rest.

that's in my top five.
and they're having a flying dog event at this place on july 30th, 10 beers on tap. that sounds well worth my time.
They're not always at the bar to get drunk. It's a social setting they may appreciate. Do you possess the same distaste for people who drink water at a bar? I'm not sure I follow, entirely.

I'm gonna give it more time. I keep thinking it's gonna be a heist/mission impossible type deal. After 2 episodes it isn't but I know plenty of shows that get better writing as they progress.
