My miniature fox terrier lil homie is sick. Right now he is swaddled in blankets, and due to the small town nature of Juneau, no vet's are available at 7:30 on a sunday night.
Here he is on the couch:
He was feeling fine all of yesterday, but as of this morning he has been moping around, is weak (has a hard time with stairs) and pressing on his belly/back legs makes him whimper a little. He has also pooped 3 times today, and hadn't ate a thing until maybe 30 minutes ago. He has no signs of physical trauma, and has not ate anything unusual in the last 2 days with the exception of stealing one dot (the candy) which doesn't strike me as too terrible.
He has done something similar about a year and a half ago, where he's just mopey and wussy for a day then got better, and we are hoping that he just has some sort of sickness that he may get better, but should he show no improvement in the morning, I will take him to the vet.
In the mean time, is there any pain killer like tylonol or asperin that is safe for a dog to consume? Is there something I should do to help him out? I'm more concerned than normal because my wife and I will be leaving on a flight to california tomorrow, and the dog is going to be in the hands of a housesitter.

Just make sure he keeps drinking water and watch for any signs of the condition worsening.
Aspirin isn't nearly as toxic, but I still wouldn't advise it because it still could cause severe damage, especially if you don't know how much to administer. Make sure he's cared for in terms of food water and temperature, but do not give him ANY human medicine.
Edited because I wanted to get that out as quickly as possible:
Here's a website (so... take it for what it's worth) that has a bit of information on aspirin dosages for animals. Unless it seems like he needs it to survive, though, I wouldn't give him anything. People have super good livers, so we can process things that kill most other animals. The aspirin dosage recommended by that website is 10mg/lb, but again, random internet site, don't trust it. Unless your dog's having a stroke, you should just take care of it like a sick baby.
I can't stress how easy it is to kill a dog with human medicine enough. So once more: just feed him, give him water and keep him happy until you can get him to the vet.
