I just lost one hour of my life

So I wake up just fine today, get ready and leave for work cause I have to open the store at 11am (GMT+1)

I don't notice anything unusual, just driving along, listening to music, "Oh no it's raining, luckily I have an Umbrella!" etc..

Then I enter the store and nothing has been cleaned up. I'm all "The hell? What is the cleaning lady doing?" and go about my business getting everything ready. Then I see it:

The clock is saying 9.30am. I check my mobile: 9.30am.

I forgot to change my alarm clock's wake up call time from the weekend.
I just lost a precious hour of sleep and sanity.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

I have handily and thoughtfully provided a summary of the story in the OP:

One time I thought it was one time but it was actually another time

    Hi5 It was fantastic

A little worchester sauce on the egg as it was frying, some pepper, and some sliced red pepper. Excellent times.

That kind of sucks man, but, 11 am opening aint bad. When I did retail sorta work in high school, I was there from 4 pm to 11 pm every night of the week, and 6 am to 11 pm on saturday and sunday. It was suck.

I woke up early this morning, because lately I've been suffering from pretty bad insomnia.

I decided to get up and have breakfast.

After breakfast I sat down on my bed and immediately passed out for about 3 hours.

    Good times.

I usually have a 12-14 hour day, so I can relate. It can be pretty rough if you're not used to it.

I've been doing this for 5 years now though.

Yea, it gets to the point where it's less a job, and more a big chore in your day, heh

Sucks how you have to be up earlier on weekends though

When I was a bright eyed, innocent youth, a job to me was taking on responsibility and adressing new challenges!

When I graduated highschool, my job was not to tell customers to fuck right off.

That's the cool thing about being self employed though.

If a customer pisses me off, I throw him out.

"Get out of MY STORE" always gets the best reactions from people cause they never believe that it really is my store. I look way too young. 8-)

I worked at a family business, so I had that option, I just tried not to let it get that far. Even though, honestly, alot of my customers really, really deserved it.

I guess making a distinction is important. Some people get into careers that they are fond of like a doctor or engineer. These people might like what they do.

However, stocking shelves for nine-fitty an hour is a chore

And that's why I went into medical genetics instead of retail. Highschool taught me that important lesson.
