This is the voting thread for brackets 13 & 14 of the tournament. Please put your votes only, along with a comment on why you feel they would win. Votes will be tallied up in 48 hours. Please leave any side comments in the pre fight debate threads.
13a. Lady Shiva: She's got the moves and Norman doesn't have enough gear to compensate.
13b. Gentleman Ghost: He is much too classy to vote against. White tux with attendant top hat and monical? come on! Plus its up in the air if Mastermind can even touch him.
14a. Bullseye: He's just going to keep Grodd off his game until a shot gets through.
14b. Taskmaster: He has the skills. The skills which will pay the bills.
Bracket 13:
A: Green Goblin - Has superstrength and a damn healing factor. Pumpkin bombs FTW.
B: Gentleman Ghost - I'm thinking psychic stuff wouldn't work on a ghost.
Bracket 14:
A: Bullseye - Harpoon gun? Goddamn.
B: Taskmaster - Compared to Taskmaster...Grundy is a chump.
Bracket 13:
a) Green Goblin - Norman's a crazy genius that fights supers all the live long day and flies. Not only will Shiva lose, but Norman will go back in time and have a gay love child with any man she's ever slept with.
b) Mastermind - The ability to create allusions is going to be devastating in an environment as mentally oriented as The Dreaming.
Bracket 14:
a) Bullseye - If he sees you, you die.
b) Taskmaster - Grundy's tough, but he's slow and functionally retarded. Taskmaster will wear him down and take the win.
Shiva- People have given all the reasons I need already.
Gentleman Ghost- We don't even know if GG can be affected by Mastermind, and in the Dreaming, being a supernatural creature, GG is going to be playing on turf a lot more comfortable.
14:
Grodd- If it wasn't underwater, I'd totally give it to Bullseye. But considering a goddamn sniper rifle bullet loses penetration ability in only a few feet of water (thanks, Mythbusters!) not even Bullseye can pull this off.
Taskmaster- Grundy is slow and stupid. Speed + mad skillz = Grundy loses.
Bullseye-Why? Because Bullseye is a fucking hax0r. He's like that guy in Counterstrike who gets nothing but headshots. Doesn't even matter. Someone call an admin.
Solomon Grundy-He was born on a monday don't ya know.
1.) Lady Shiva: is herself and that's enough.
2.) Gentleman Ghost: is dead, and apparently that means a lot.
bracket 14
1.) Gorilla Grodd: Underwater will slow Bullseye enough for Grodd to mind-deflect whatever's shot at him, and psychicblastspsychicblastspsychicblasts.
2.) Taskmaster: Good fight, but in the end it goes to Task on brains 'n skill.

Green Goblin - Hey look, glider in you back.
Gentlemen Ghost - Hey look, your powers don't work.
14
Bullseye - Hey look, everything I touch is a deadly weapon via comic book science. Hey look, monkeys don't swim.
Taskmaster - Hey look, guy with no super powers can beat the Avengers. No super powers. Avengers. Grundy is going to be a pushover.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
A- Lady Shiva: There is no way that Norman Osborne, an amateur supervillain at best, can beat someone as dangerous and skilled as Lady Shiva, who eats non-powered people AND superpowered people for breakfast.
B- Gentleman Ghost: He is classy enough to beat Mastermind, especially given the fact that Mastermind can't affect ghosts. Seeing as he works with people's brains.
Bracket 14:
A- Bullseye: He can kill with anything. Grodd is barely mobile, etc.
B- Taskmaster: Yeah, Taskmaster can beat the Avengers and stuff. This really is a no-brainer.
Fight 13
A - Green Goblin: Shiva might have the reflexes in a straight up fight, but she still doesn't have all the other abilities that help Peter beat Norman on a somewhat regular basis.
B - Gentleman Ghost: Actually, reading up on Mastermind's abilities further, he has a range for his psychic abilities. The Dreaming I think would help Jason more then the Ghost though but that is a completely random place. In the end, I'll equate Ghost's win with Pokemon statistics: Ghost-Type are super effective against Psychic-Type.
Fight 14
A - Gorilla Grodd: Apparently a vast majority of people in here have forgotten some of Grodd's powers and abilities, namely his psychic blasts. Yes, Bullseye has his spear gun, but even they aren't as fast as bullets in open air - I'm pretty sure Grodd's intelligent enough to know to blast that shit away and destroy the gun. As for swimming, he's allowed to use his abilities on other beings and entities in the arena, so he'll just call up a swimming buddy: one big 'Fuck You' shark and grab some fin while Jaws dines on Marvel's 'Anything I see dies' BS villain.
B - Taskmaster: I really wanted Grundy to win this and I say he still could by tiring out Taskmaster, but I think he's going to be able to dish out enough damage to Solomon while dodging his hits long enough to win.
Shiva - She has boobs
Gentleman Ghost - He's a fucking ghost
Bullseye - Harpoon gun and a gorilla in water, geez I wonder how this will end....
Taskmaster - Fucking badass and it totally sets up an awesome next round
Shiva - I love the Goblin, but Shiva will slice him to ribbons, all while dodging Norman's best shots.
Gentleman Ghost - Monocle AND a top hat? I confess good sirs, that I cannot, in good conscience, cast my vote against such a classy fucking chap.
Bullseye - I feel bad about casting a vote here because I just don't know enough about Grodd, but I think if Bullseye did get his hands on a spear gun the fight would be over.
Taskmaster - A salute to Marvel's most underrated and poorly handled villainous badass.
Judas on
Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver.
Situation excellent. I am attacking.
- General Ferdinand Foch
mastermind -- look you guys. being a ghost is a really stupid super power. not only that, but the Dreaming has all sorts of nightmares that will fuck up a spirit.
taskmaster -- mmm, photoreflexes
bullseye -- he is going toss a seashell into a daddy seahorse and all sorts of baby seahorses are going to flood out and one is going to ricochet into grodd's ear and kill him.
Shiva - A much better fighter than Goblin. Only way I could see Goblin winning is doing some suicide attack with his bombs and hoping he could take the hit better than Shiva
Mastermind - I stand by my stance that if it thinks it can be affected by Mastermind's illusions.
Bullseye - If they start far enough away I think he could get a harpoon into Grodd before Grodd even knows he's there. If Grodd sees him I think Bullseye could fill the area with enough projectiles that Grodd couldn't stop them all.
Taskmaster - Slices and dices the plant zombie to nothing but little compost heaps.
A. Shiva: Norman operates mainly by screwing with his opponents pyschologically, and possibly killing their girlfriend. He's a decent fighter, but nowhere near Shiva level.
B. Gentleman Ghost: Because at the moment, we're having a hard time finding ways for him to lose. I guess if the next match takes place in Buckingham palace his opponent might have a shot, but until then Ghost takes it with his classy monocle.
Match 14
A. Gorilla Grodd: Goddammit, he's a physic monkey. He'll block the harpoon, destroy the gun, and shark-attack Bullseye to death. .... also, I love Flash villians.
B. Taskmaster: Insane fighting skills for the win.
A) Shiva - If norman had his full compliment of weapons, I think he'd win. People seem to be underestimating him alot. Mastermind - I'm betting that Mastermind can project illusions into the minds of sleepers and control that actual makeup of the dreaming. Oh, and intangibility is lame.
Match 14
A) Bullseye - Haven't seen any examples of Grodd using his Telekenesis to block projectiles. Bullseye will sell Grodd off in parts through the black market. Taskmaster - Don't know which version of Grundy this is. Taskmaster kicks ass. Plus, the bullseye/taskmaster fight is going to be awesome.
GoodCitizen on
Benjamin Franklin used foil covered window glass to create a capacitor. He then attempted to kill a turkey with the stored charge. Instead, he knocked himself out. Franklin later wrote, "I tried to kill a turkey but nearly succeeded in killing a goose."
Bracket 13
Match A: Shiva-can predict Norman's attacks and once she gets close game over
Match B: Gentleman Ghost-I don't know if Mastermind's powers would work on him but either way Mastermind doesn't fulfill the requirements to defeat him
Bracket 14
Match A: Grodd-can send Atlanteans and sharks to swarm Bullseye and doesn't even need to be there to take him out. Hard for Bullseye to hit what's not even around him
Match B: Taskmaster-Grundy's tough but Taskmaster can handle him
Shiva - Man, Norman is right fucked in this match, until he comes back well after the tournament is over and it's revealed he raped her Dad, or some such nonsense.
Gentleman Ghost - Mastermind is not Egon Spengler. He will not figure out a way to beat this classy upstanding chap.
Bracket 14
Bullseye - HE CAN KILL WITH ANYTHING. He'll find a way to nick Grodd's arteries with his eyelashes if he has to.
Taskmaster - He can take the entire Avengers team. He is made of win.
13A: Shiva - She can just predict and evade until they get into close combat in which Norman is no match for Shiva.
13B: Gentleman Ghost - The question is would Mastermind's power work on a ghost. I am guessing not so easy win for the Gentleman Ghost.
14A: Grodd - While he is probably not a great swimmer he can probably block/deflect the harpoon with psychic blasts, and mind control the sharks and Atlenteans to kill for him and to use them as means of transportation.
14B: Taskmaster - He has the speed and skills to make quick work of a stupid opponent even if it is as tough as Grundy
A- Lady Shiva: There is no way that Norman Osborne, an amateur supervillain at best, can beat someone as dangerous and skilled as Lady Shiva, who eats non-powered people AND superpowered people for breakfast.
Ummm.... what?! You can't really be serious. Please, please tell me you aren't serious.
Shiva - It's not Spiderman, the only reason she wins is that Norman just doesn't care enough. Sure, he'd obviously fight the Hobgoblin, but I just don't think he'd be on his game. After being deaded for 25 years he'll come back and rape Shiva's dead grandma or something, but this fight goes to her.
Gentleman Ghost - I guess. I mean, this is going to be a pretty lame fight. Mastermind can't really control anyone there, and I don't even know if the mighty flintlock bulltets work.
14.
Grodd - Giant pissed off wet super intelligent psychic ape.
Grundy - Want pants too, and Taskmaster is a giant pussy.
A. shiva. I'm sorry norman, I like you better, but there are some people who just really like to kill people like you. Some of them are good at it too. Meet Shiva!
B. Gentleman Ghost. Mastermind may be very psychic, but he lacks the...Englishmenness to defeat GG. If only he had spent more time with his brandy snifter training.
14. Hooray for this bracket!
A. Bullseye--Master of murder people. Maestro of Murder. Every DC villian has every power, they are dull and lifeless. Bullseye has no noticable power and kills everyone.
B. Taskmaster--Perhaps a little too cool for school. Might tip over into the OMG SEHPIRTOH!!1!one! but even so Solomon grundy? Hahaha.

ODAM's been taking so much of my attention that not only has my sig gone out of date, but I've been reduced to quoting other votes. But these are my picks.
Shiva - Shiva's trained to fight way more dangerous threats than Norman.
Gentleman Ghost - Mastermind's powers probably won't be too effective. Plus Gentleman Ghost is just dapper.
Bracket 14
Bullseye - If he can find something that can cut through the resistance of the water, or even get in close and avoid Grodd's physical attacks while picking away at him, he'll win it.
Taskmaster - Green Arrow beat Grundy, and Green Arrow didn't even have great martial training at the time. As long as Grundy doesn't get super lucky, Taskmaster's got it in the bag.
Posts
Shiva
Simply too much skill for ol Normie.
Mastermind vs. Gentleman Ghost
Gentleman Ghost
Tough draw for Mastermind.
Solomon Grundy vs. Taskmaster
Taskmaster
Probably a pretty long, gruelling fight, but Taskmaster eventually wears down Grundy, who gets angry when he can't land a blow.
Gorilla Grodd vs. Bullseye
Gorilla Grodd
Mental powers and intellect push him over the edge.
13b. Gentleman Ghost: He is much too classy to vote against. White tux with attendant top hat and monical? come on! Plus its up in the air if Mastermind can even touch him.

bullseye
whippy speaks my vote
Gentleman Ghost - He'll do him proper!
Taskmaster - As long as he stays outta Grundy's way, he's got this one in the bag.
Gorrilla Grodd - pyschic powers pew pew pew
Yes.
Gentleman Ghost over Mastermind: The classy chap and his monocle win.
Taskmaster over Grundy: Born on a monday, fucked six ways from Sunday.
Bullseye over Grod: Perfect aim is a killer in an underwater environment when the fighters can't move as well.
1) Shiva - if Norman had some decent physical resistence to attacks, this might have gone differently, but as it is he will be filled full of lead.
2) Gentlemen Ghost - Realisticaly, what the hell is Mastermind going to do to him? Not a lot.
Bracket the 14th:
1) Grodd - It does not take a lot to stop a harpoon with you mind, folks.
2) Taskmaster - We'll just say this is one of the weaker Grundys.
Shiva- People have given all the reasons I need already.
Gentleman Ghost- We don't even know if GG can be affected by Mastermind, and in the Dreaming, being a supernatural creature, GG is going to be playing on turf a lot more comfortable.

Taskmaster - Too many moves for Grundy to be able to do anything.
