So I'm kind of worried because my cat started drooling quite profusely today. If he stays in place for a few seconds, a bunch of small puddles form in front of him.
He's never done this before. My father says he's been eating some plants of his, but I doubt that's the cause.
My cat is otherwise normal. Oh and it's not a particularly warm day.
I'll take him to the vet if this persists, but I was wondering if anyone had this happen to their cats. What's doing this?
He might just have a cold. My cat got a cold and was drooling all over her own fur when she'd curl up, and on my bed and pillow and stuff. It was kinda gross, and she was a little less active for a few days, but she got better.
Check it's tongue. Check for a splinter, cut, bump, anything. My cat did this when she had a tumor in her tongue (She was 18 though), so I suppose it's because she might have a swollen tongue?
He usually walks around with his mouth open a bit and we figure that's why he drools. Check ups and all that always go well and he's healthy as can be.

Here's the first thing that popped up on google about cat drool.
Just, you know, drip drip and all that.

He's just a drooler.
