Getting some new digital filmmaking equipment

QuestionMarkManQuestionMarkMan Registered User regular
Alright so I've got a Panasonic AG HVX200 that I've been using to make my movies and I've been borrowing any other equipment I've needed. I'm planning now to gradually purchase equipment and at the moment I'm looking at mics and DOF adapters for the camera.

For mics, I've been recommended the Rode NTG3 shotgun mic.

For DOF adapters I'm looking at the Redrock M2 Encore with the image flip, since I've heard good things, it's got a half stop of light loss, and the footage I've seen with it used looked pretty good.

Basically I want to know if these are good choices and if anyone's got any tips on a good place to buy them.
