360 HD DVD and digital audio.

Okay here's my dilema;
I have the 360 and the HD DVD attachment drive.
I have it routed to my receiver using optical audio.
I can watch standard def DVDs and get 5.1 surround.
When I watch HD DVDs and select 5.1 I get digital PCM. Not true surround sound. This has been the case on all 3 movies I own. I always get 5.1 on my standard def DVDs using either the HD add on drive or the standard 360.

Can anyone help?

    Sorry I cant help you from personal experience yet, Ill get back to you in a few days. But if your reveiver will accept dts or DD+ I beleive that is what the add-on downgrades everything to.
    For now though, check out the avsforum's thread on the 360's addon theyve got tons of advice on just this issue.
